A volcanic Eruption following intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection

Abstract

We present an ophthalmic photo essay of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (TA)-induced acute rise of intraocular pressure. Deposition of triamcinolone crystals was noted over the cornea, iris, anterior chamber, and angles. This highlights the importance of gonioscopy in providing insight into different mechanisms involved in intraocular pressure elevation.
