Abstract
GREEN DECORATED OF Au/ZnO NANOKOMPOSIT BY MEDIA OF Aquilaria malaccenensis L. LEAF EXTRACT AND DETERMINATION OF SUN PROTECTION FACTOR VALUE. The aim of this research is to synthesize of Au/ZnO nanocomposite using green synthesis media by utilizing of Aquilaria malaccenensis L. leaf extract. Aquilaria malaccenensis L. leaf extract functions as a natural bioreductors and capping agent in the formation of Au/ZnO nanocomposites. The presence of Au colloid on ZnO surface can change the band gap energy, crystal structure, particle size, and sun protection factor (SPF) value of ZnO. Au/ZnO nanocomposite has a band gap of 3.0 eV and the results of XRD characterization showed the crystallinity peaks at 2θ: 33.6; 35.1; 36.3; 46.6; 54.7; 59.7; 64.3; and 66.2 with the average crystallite size of 37 nm. The functional group contained in the Aquilaria malaccenensis L. leaf extract is O-H (3300 cm), which has the function as a bioreductors of Au to Au, C=C (1620 cm), and C-N (1350 cm), which have the function as a base source in the formation of Zn(OH)2 to ZnO. Vibrations of Au-Zn-O are seen at wavenumbers of 498 cm. The Au/ZnO nanocomposite has an SPF value of 18.28. From the characterization data, showed the Aquilaria malaccenensis L. leaf extract has the function as a natural bioreductors, base source, and capping agent in the decorated of Au colloid on ZnO surface (Au/ZnO) nanocomposite.
