There is great horticultural interest in the genus and there is evidence that Aloe taxa have been collected from the wild and used for this purpose. Other major threats to their conservation include agriculture, urbanisation, bush fires, habitat fragmentation and loss. Abstract
Summary: An overview of the conservation status of the genus Aloe L. (Asphodelaceae) in Zimbabwe is presented.
