digitization, technology concepts are avail- able that can realize the integration of business-relevant information across the entire value chain. As part of the systematic approach, this article focuses on the area of creating trust and acceptance as a prerequisite for the successful introduction of (technical) innovations, based on the structuring of the obstacles. This is followed by a corresponding solution approach with a reference mod-el and a hardware concept that enables the implemen- tation of information gateways for existing systems.
