The activities of club-type cultural institutions take place in the legal field, the structure of which includes the Legislative acts and regulatory documents of the authorized law-making bodies of the country. Pointing to the importance of the development of culture as the basis of the spirituality of the nation and its future, the legislature has not developed a clear legal mechanism aimed at adapting and matching the activities of cultural institutions to new socio-economic realities. The diversity of legislative and normative support and the priorities of the cultural policy approved by the relevant ministries are more directed towards the implementation of the planned function (approval of plans and writing of reports). While the coordination component and liability issues are virtually omitted. Novelty. An analytical review of the current legal field of activities of club-type cultural institutions of state / communal / forms of ownership is carried out. An attempt is made to compare the current legislative framework with a legal mechanism aimed at adapting cultural institutions to new socio-economic realities. The practical significance. The results of the study can be used in the practical activities of club-type cultural institutions.
