Abstract
Objective
To explore the effects of mind map teaching in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique teaching for nursing students.
Methods
70 nursing students who were interned at the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2018 to July 2019 were selected as the research objects were selected by convenience sampling , and randomly assigned to the control group (n=35) and the observation group (n=35) . Nursing students in the control group continued to be taught by the conventional centralized operation demonstration and the TCM nursing technology operation video, while nursing students in the observation group received mind map guidance based on the conventional method. The operation performance scores, and the scores of Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory Chinese Version (CTDI-CV) of the two groups of nursing students were compared.
Results
The scores of nursing performance, CTDI-CV in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) .
Conclusions
The mind map teaching is conducive to improving the operating skills and critical thinking of nursing students, and motivating them to learn by themselves, which is worth promoting in clinical practice.
