Moldova’s domestic and international response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

Abstract

Amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Moldova's response and focus on long-term security and economic stability have led it to strengthen ties with the European Union. Chișinău believes a window of opportunity has opened to accelerate integration with the EU, but this will require sustained financial and technical assistance from Brussels.
