Abstract

This paper addresses the dialectical relationship between culture and politics in Greece under the so-called Regime of the Colonels (1967-74). It examines how new trends not only in the print world, but also in cinema, theatre and music, gave shape to new cultural identities, radicalising segments of the population, particularly students, who emulated the spirit of 1968 witnessed elsewhere.
