Abstract
The media habits of young people are radically different from younger, but especially, older age groups. In this conceptual article, we take a closer look at the concept of “media generation”, and discuss whether it makes sense to talk about young people as a distinct media generation. Furthermore, we shed light on different approaches to the concept of generation and discuss whether today's youth can be described as “globally native” and a “lost generation” for Norwegian media, respectively.
