Abstract
This study aims to analyze scientific literature to discover general trends and analyze related indicators regarding corruption in public procurement. This paper applies the bibliometric methodology, utilizes the data retrieved from Scopus database from 2002 to 2020, and visualizes the data using VOSviewer. The study recovered 295 articles written by authors across nations who are focusing on the topic of corruption in procurement. From the results, it can be seen that the most influential article is the article entitled ‘Corruption and Competition in Procurement’ written by Celentani and Ganuza. In addition, the influential author is Mihaly Fazekas; he has written 14 articles and has 166 citations. From the research topic, the countries that are mostly discussed are underdeveloped and developing countries. By identifying the keywords’ network, this study found that a large volume of research area on this topic still revolves around macro factors, such as crime, transparency and e-procurement. Hence, this study encourages the scholar to further examine corruption behavior (in organizational and individual behavior) and to enhance research concerning the latest innovation on procurement ecosystem.
