Five different materials used in technical practice were tested. These materials are PLA (polylactic acid), PETG/CF (polyethylene terephthalate-glycol with carbon fibre, composite material), PETG (polyethylene terephthalate-glycol), ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), and ASA (acrylic styrene acrylonitrile). Mechanical properties are verified by tensile testing according to ASTM D638. Testing is complemented by a digital image correlation method to locate the areas with the highest load transfer. The results have shown clear anisotropic properties of the test specimens.
