Abstract

The reappearance of mining unionism in Huelva, and especially in the Riotinto Mining Basin, during the last moments of Primo de Rivera's dictatorship is analysed, for which the documentation of the Rio Tinto Company Limited is used fundamentally and both the protagonism of Gonzalez Pena and Manuel Llaneza and the reactions of the mining bosses to the irruption of socialism in the mines are taken into account.
