Abstract

The objective of the research carried out was to analyze the influence exerted by two industrial tourism destinations on civil society in each of their territories. These destinations are called Samacá Factories (Colombia) and the Sewell Camp (Chile) and are located in South America. As industrial tourism destinations evolve, the greater the involvement of civil society organizations in this type of tourism, which stimulates its strengthening due to cooperation and the formation of alliances between various social actors. El objetivo de la investigación realizada consistió en analizar la influencia que ejercen dos destinos de turismo industrial sobre la sociedad civil de cada uno de sus entornos. Estos destinos se denominan Fábricas de Samacá (Colombia) y Campamento Sewell (Chile) y se encuentran localizados en Suramérica.
