In parallel with low socioeconomic status, unhealthy living conditions and an increased birth rate among these immigrants, health issues are also increasing. There have been many studies that investigated the perinatal status of the global immigrant population, and their findings revealed that having an immigrant status is related to insufficient antenatal care, perinatal mortality, prematurity, low birth weight (BW) and congenital anomalies (1-4).
