Digital Humanities Role in Modern Librarianship Innovations

Abstract

In this article several aspects of Digital Humanities effect upon modern librarianship are presented. There are some projects analyzed in this area from the perspective of further DH development in library context. We have analyzed and compared the most developed projects on cultural heritage digitization in Ukraine and also regarded some examples of world digital humanities concept usage in the Kansas University. We may say that Digital Humanities is very new concept for Ukrainian education as well as for Ukrainian librarianship but in spite of this fact Ukrainian libraries, museums, and cultural institutions take part in DH projects and develop these concept in Ukraine.
