It works by bypassing the trabecular meshwork, which is the commonest site of outflow obstruction, to re-establish communication of aqueous humor directly with the Schlemm's canal. It is the smallest stent approved to be placed inside the human body. This review compiles publications about iStent inject highlighting its clinical efficacy as standalone procedure and with phacoemulsification, safety and cost effectiveness. Abstract
