Abstract

Abstract:This work explores Freud's archaeology as a departure from Charcot's iconography of hysteria. It begins with a comparison between two grotesque figures that appear in the men's work, which reveal in their analyses a characteristic approach to the hysterical symptom (Charcot) and the neurotic compulsion (Freud).
