Élaboration d’un outil de formation pour la connaissance de l’instrumentation chirurgicale en stérilisation

Abstract

Introduction

Les pharmaciens responsables de stérilisation doivent mettre en place des outils de formation, notamment pour l’étape de recomposition nécessitant une connaissance de l’instrumentation chirurgicale. De nombreux outils pédagogiques, utilisant l’aspect ludique du jeu, ont été créés afin de former le personnel. L’objectif de ce travail est d’expliquer la création d’un outil pédagogique permettant l’apprentissage des instruments chirurgicaux.

Matériels et méthodes

Ce quiz a été créé pour le personnel en formation initiale ou continue afin de le former à l’identification des instruments, la connaissance de leur utilisation et des compositions auxquelles ils appartiennent.

Résultats

Le quiz compte 11 familles d’instruments avec 65 questions. Ainsi, 70 instruments sont abordés Les sessions de quiz abordant 2 catégories ont lieu par groupes de 3 à 4 agents pour une meilleure interactivité. Les 17 agents de stérilisation, ayant participé aux 11 thèmes, considèrent que cette formation permet de passer un moment convivial en équipe sans notion d’évaluation, en apprenant de nouvelles connaissances.

Discussion

Suite aux propositions des participants, une catégorie dédiée aux instruments de chirurgie ophtalmique a été ajoutée et une adaptation au format connecté a été réalisée.

Conclusion

La recomposition restant une étape le plus souvent humaine, la formation est primordiale pour obtenir la qualité souhaitée par le bloc opératoire/services de soins.

Introduction

Pharmacists in charge of sterilization must imagine training tools, especially for reconstitution stage requiring knowledge of surgical instrumentation. Many educational tools using the playful aspect of the game have been created to train staff. The goal of this report is to explain the creation of an educational tool to learn surgical instruments.

Materials and methods

This quiz has been created for staff in initial or continuing training to learn how to identify surgical instruments, to know their use and compositions to which they belong.

Results

It is composed of 65 questions divided in 11 parts. Each part represents one type of instruments. So, 70 instruments are covered. Quiz sessions must be performed with three to four agents for a better interactivity. Only two categories are seen in a single session for optimal concentration of participants. All 17 sterilization agents who participated in the 11 themes considered that this training allowed them to spend a friendly moment, learning new knowledge without any notion of evaluation.

Discussion

Following the proposals of the participants, a category dedicated to ophthalmic surgery instruments was added and an adaptation to the connected format was carried out.

Conclusion

As recomposition remains an entirely human stage, training is essential to achieve the quality desired by the operating rooms/care units.
