Abstract
Childhood cancer is curable today with advances in treatment, but this can leave physical or psychosocial consequences. Our work consists in evaluating the state of satisfaction in patients aged less than 30 years.
The study involved 27 patients (10 males and 17 females). We have chosen the life satisfaction scale (SVS-5) as a sampling tool.
The results obtained identified 7 types of cancer, the most frequent of which are leukemia and breast cancer. The satisfaction test showed a prevalence of 14.8% (unsatisfied child) and 85.2% with moderate satisfaction and a large part of which can be converted to unsatisfied if the support and monitoring conditions are not met. by the family or by the health authorities.
Faced with this encouraging situation, authorities should step up communication with the families of patients to explain to them how to behave with these children who are in a decisive phase for their future, especially in school.
