Abstract

This article analyzes the 1st Duke of Montemar’s mausoleum in the Basilica of the Pilar in Zaragoza. A work sponsored by King Charles III in honor of his memory. This essay describes the creation process, the different proposals put forward by the military engineers and its relationship with the European tombs of typology in pyramid or obelisk.
