Depending on the predominant components of the tissue, these tumors used to be classified as adenolipomas, fibro-adenolipomas or lipofibroadenomas2. The unifying term of breast hamartoma was coined by Arrigoni in 1971, which encompasses the various terms used to describe this lesion1.
