Abstract

The purpose of this paper lies in presenting the fifth cooperative principle concerning education, training and information as an optimal tool to promote decent work within cooperatives. In fact, the current global decent work deficit requires efficient and urgent answers. To that end, first, we will briefly study the scope of the concept of decent work. After that, we will highlight the significance of cooperatives as appropriate entities to promote decent work. In addition, based on this analysis, we will present the fifth cooperative principle as a tool to promote decent work in the field of cooperatives. Received: 21 November 2020Accepted: 06 April 2021
