O QUE É E COMO ALCANÇAR A QUALIDADE DE VIDA?

Abstract

Quality of life is a broad, complex and multifaceted topic that has a great relevance in geographic studies. However, there is no consensus about the concept of quality of life, neither a standard model for its study; consequently, there are several possibilities for its investigation. Considering such situation, it was written the present text with the objective of presenting some approaches about the notion of quality of life, as well as some bias that can be used for its evaluation, considering especially the impasse around the approaches that focus in their objective and/or subjective dimensions. In methodological terms, the text makes a revision of the literature. At the end of the text, it is affirmed that what is most relevant when considering quality of life is to identify, in each reality, unique traits of what it consists of and search to achieve it according to the local particularities.
