Abstract

In the present article we aim to analyze the way in which the relationship between indigenous and non-indigenous people, mediated by the “problem of children”, was constituted for the construction of institutional and ethnic logics of care to the situations related to work, education, family conviviality, and, mainly, to the disputes over the meanings of the Kaingang childhood and person in the context of the city of Maringa, in the state of Parana, Brazil.
