Abstract

The study points out the baselines on Pannenberg’s works on theological ethics – which are in general less received than those on dogmatic topics. They have their foundation in the concept of an eschatological-relational correlation between salvation history and world history. The development of Pannenberg’s ethical thinking is characterized by the insight into the problem of secularization. The consideration of this fact led Pannenberg to an anthropological substantatiton of ethics, focussing on an derivation of human dignity from the concept of god. Finally the essay undertakes an updating of Pannenberg’s considerations, showing exemplary, how his impetus can be developed in concern on current debates. 42. Pannenberg (wie Anm. 10), 87.
