Abstract

This paper attempts to demonstrate the lexical value of the Vocabulario aymara composed by Ludovico Bertonio in 1616 for Hispanic lexicography. It is an approach to the study of the Andean borrowings present in the dictionary. To this goal, it gives an account of the neologisms found, organised by lexical fields, specifically analyzing the lexicon of food.
