Four new Psocoptera species were described as new to science from the coastal area of East Africa: Echinopsocus keniensis n. sp., Cerobasis lienhardi n. sp., Lithoseopsis juliani n. sp. (Kenya), and Mepleres gurusamyi n. sp. (Zanzibar). One Nanopsocus species was found only in a nymph stage, and was supposed to be representative of an unknown species too.
