Taxonomic identity of Typhonium roxburghii var. longispathum (Araceae) and notes on the extended distribution of T. bulbiferum

Abstract

The taxonomic status of Typhonium roxburghii Schott var. longispathum S.Nirola & A.P.Das, a recently described variety from Darjeeling district in West Bengal is deliberated and synonymised under T. bulbiferum Dalzell. A detailed description and a photo plate of T. bulbiferum are provided to facilitate identification.
