Abstract

A new anamorphic genus and species,Neoacrodictys elegans, is illustrated and described from dead branches of an unidentified plant in Hainan Province, China. The genus is characterized by darkly pigmented turbinate to obpyriform muriform conidia produced from monoblastic integrated terminal conidiogenous cells on macronematous unbranched conidiophores.
