Abstract

The present article exposes the relevance of the Ecological Ordinance as an instrument of environmental policy that allows to integrate knowledge for the protection of the environment and sustainable management of natural resources. Likewise, the approach is that the EMB must be seen as a legal tool that serves citizens in defense of their human rights to enjoy a healthy environment and for the consecration of the right to self-determination of indigenous communities in the case of regions with native populations.
