The antenna provides bandwidth of 3.04 – 17.2 GHz by generating additional resonances towards higher end with modified ground structure. Moreover, the reconfigurable notches at WiMAX, WLAN and downlink of X band satellite communication are designed using slot technique to reduce interference at these wireless services if present. Thus, designed antenna provides a good solution for spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum access as required in cognitive radios.
