Reorganización sí, despidos no. Restructuración productiva y estrategias gremiales en propulsora siderúrgica

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the process of productive reconversion made in Propulsora Siderurgica in 1991 from three dimensions. First of all, we focus on the transformations made in the previous years that can be considered as antecedents of the restructuring project. Secondly, we introduce ourselves in the process of reconversion itself, to understand the changes introduced in the organization and use of the labor force. Finally, we analyze the actions of the internal commission and the body of delegates in both processes, as well as the impact that the restructuring of 1991 had on the organizational instances.
