Dinero viajero. Censos hipotecarios y emigración un binomio inseparable en la Cantabria del siglo XVIII

espanolEl Norte de la Peninsula Iberica, desde Galicia hasta Navarra, conformo un amplio epicentro desde el que decenas de miles de hombres y mujeres enfilaron sus vidas hacia otros territorios a lo largo del XVIII, especialmente hacia la Baja Andalucia y hacia las colonias ultramarinas. Se analiza sobre todo en este trabajo el caso de los emigrantes montaneses que se dirigieron desde Cantabria hacia la Bahia de Cadiz. This work will study in particular the case of the migrants that left the Cantabrian Mountains heading towards the Bay of Cadiz. The socioeconomic approach will be completed by an economic reading adding the migratory factor to the traditional causes of peasants’ indebtedness
