The main direction of the patents is innovation and improvement to surgical instruments or technology. The level of patents is not high, utility model patent is in the majority. Hospitals need to put equal emphasis on patents and papers. Abstract

Objective Analyzing the patent applications of top 10 hospitals in China during past 10 years, to provide reference for hospital management departments and researchers, propose possible suggestions. Methods Selecting the top 10 hospitals of China, and searching their patent application data during the period of 2008-2017 based on China Intellectual Property Right Net. 2008-2017年中国十大医院专利申请情况分析

目的分析近10年来中国十大医院的专利申请情况，为医院管理部门和科研人员提供参考，提出可能的建议。方法选取中国十大医院，基于中国知识产权网，检索其2008-2017年的专利申请数据。分析年龄分布、专利类型分布、专利有效率、IPC分布，以及专利与CSCD论文的关系。结果十大医院近10年共申请专利5430项，其中发明2188项，实用新型3197项，外观设计45项。结论专利申请逐年增加。专利的主要方向是对外科器械或技术的创新和改进。专利水平不高，实用新型专利占多数。医院需要对专利和论文给予同等重视。提出的建议包括：提高医务人员的专利意识；与专利代理机构合作；提高创造性专利的质量；鼓励员工申请发明专利，在推广和评价时提高发明专利的比例。关键词：十大医院；专利；统计分析
