«Creciendo en los brazos de la estampa»: estudio comparado entre el Coloquio de los perros de Cervantes y su continuación por Ginés Carrillo Cerón

Abstract

This article offers a comparative study between Cervantes’ Dialogue of the Dogs and Ginés Carrillo Cerón’s 1635 sequel focusing on its three main discrepancies: the omission of the thematic link between The Deceitful Marriage and the Dialogue in the second part, Cervantes and Cerón’s different approach to the picaresque genre and Cerón’s rejection of the marvelous elements from the first Dialogue.
