Rubin Observatory, once fully operational in Chile, will help astronomers continue Rubin’s work. Rubin is the first woman to have a large, national observatory named for her, a monument to her legacy. Both biographies will broaden readers’ understanding of Vera Rubin’s legacy by providing a more complete look at her professional and personal lives and the obstacles and successes she encountered along the way.
