This article opens up conceptual space to consider how historically and geographically mediated forms of financialisation have tempered the unfolding of the BRI in peripheral economies. Abstract
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been theorised as a spatial fix to China's overaccumulation problem, and as such, an implicitly productivist endeavour.
