New advances in sedation/anesthesia in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal endoscopy

Abstract

Sedation in gastrointestinal endoscopy is an important requirement for safe and comfortable medical treatment. At present, the important steps in sedation treatment of gastrointestinal examination include standardization of sedation depth standards; on the basis of preoperative evaluation of patients and the requirements for sedation depth, sedation/anaesthesia staff are selected to monitor indicators and determine individualized sedation/analgesic regimen. This is very important for achieving programmatic sedation. Sedative treatment in gastrointestinal surgery can ensure patient safety, and require more cost-effectiveness and comfort.
