Abstract

RESUMO Este artigo verifica se Osvaldo Sangiorgi foi um expert no ensino de matemática em tempos da Matemática Moderna. Fundamentado em pesquisas sócio-históricas, analisamos manuais pedagógicos e artigos por meio dos elementos: reconhecimento pelos pares; apropriação de concepções educacionais que circularam em nível internacional; convocação pelo Estado para a resolução de problemas técnicos; sistematização de saberes no âmbito educacional; e circulação desses saberes. Concluímos que Sangiorgi sistematizou saberes a ensinar e para ensinar referentes à matemática abordada como estrutura.
