Euneo e la ‘musa asiatica’ di Euripide: per una proposta di restituzione dell’epigramma di Cizico AP 3.10

EnglishThis article starts with the comparison between AP 3.10, which deals with the role played by Euneus and Thoas in the rescue of their mother and queen of Lemnos Hypsipyle, and Euripides’ peculiar version of the myth, from which the Palatine epigram probably draws inspiration. On the basis of this comparison, the A. re-examines the last two verses of the epigram and submits a new proposal for restitution of the puzzling and much-disputed v. 5: instead of the inadmissible and incongruous manuscript reading Ἀσώτιδος νέαν κούραν, the A. puts forward Ἀσιάτιδος, Eὔνοe, μοῦσαν, which, unlike the various conjectures offered by other commentators on this passage, fits with the distintive characteristics of the musician Euneus. italianoIl contributo muove dal confronto tra il decimo epigramma del terzo libro dell’Antologia Palatina, che tratta del ruolo salvifico svolto da Euneo e Toante nella vicenda della madre e regina di Lemno Ipsipile, e la peculiare versione della vicenda mitica fornita da Euripide nell’Ipsipile, da cui l’epigramma palatino trae verosimilmente ispirazione. A partire da tale confronto, l’A. del contributo riesamina l’ultimo distico dell’epigramma e avanza una nuova proposta di restituzione del v. 5 problematico sul piano testuale e variamente emendato: in luogo del tradito Ἀσώτιδος νέαν κούραν, inammissibile e incongruo, viene avanzata la congettura Ἀσιάτιδος, Eὔνοe, μοῦσαν, che, in rapporto alle diverse proposte emendative sin qui esperite, si attaglia ai tratti peculiari del musico Euneo.
