“A bueltas de vosotros otros”: ensayo de aplicabilidad de la teoría de las gramáticas de alteridad a una crónica castellana del siglo XV

Abstract

In the present study we shall embark on the research possibilities of the so-called theory of “alterity/identities grammars” for the analysis of the Libro de las buenas andancas e fortunas by Lope Garcia de Salazar. Said theory allows the exploration of the way in which the construction of the self-image is formulated through the mechanism of alterity, either in terms of grandeur (orientalist grammar); as a way of establishing hierarchies between apparent equals (segmented grammar) or as a form of inclusion -or exclusion- of an Other from an imagine political society by a power group that represents the chronicler.
