Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to identify the barriers to the implementation of sustainable practices and the benefits achieved by wine-tourism companies implementing those practices. To do so, quantitative research was carried out, by applying a questionnaire to 103 companies operating in the wine-tourism sector in Portugal. The results reveal the barriers affecting the implementation of sustainable practices and that the implementation of sustainable practices is positively associated with gaining multiple benefits.
