The ligands were prepared from condensation reaction of the benzaldehyde, Salicyaldehyde and Acetylacetone with cytosine respectively. These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity; magnetic susceptibility measurements, NMR spectroscopy for ligand, electronic and infrared spectroscopy.
