El licenciado Rodaja (Marías / Chic, 1973): una novela adaptada, una adaptación teatralizada

Abstract

This article aims at analyzing The Rodaja Licenciate (1973), a television adaptation based on The Vidriera Licenciate (Miguel de Cervantes, Exemplary Novels, 1613). Within the context of the successful dramatic programs aired on Radio Televisión Española from the ‘60s to the ‘90s, I will examine the transformations executed on this medium length-film, directed by Antonio Chic whose script was written by Miguel Marías: 1) the hero’s (Tomás Rodaja) reinterpretation; and 2) the fusion between this novel and dramatic techniques. * Este artículo se inscribe en el marco del Proyecto de Excelencia I+D+i del MINECO La novela corta del siglo XVII.
