Representação política feminina sob a ótica das eleitoras brasileiras

Abstract

How do brazilian female voters evaluate women’s political representation? Would female underrepresentation be a problem for them? Based on these issues, this article analyzes the perceptions of female voters obtained through a survey of 812 informants in 2019. The main results show women’s dissatisfaction with the number of female representatives in politics, disapproval of municipal, state and of the national congress regarding parliamentary action aimed at women. Only 10% of respondents know of any political party that defends women’s interests and rights.
