Abstract

ABSTRACT Promoting intergenerational knowledge transfer (IKT) among scientists is an essential aspect of universities’ operations because it is a condition for the continuity of cultural values and scientific development. This article is guided by questions about a conceptual model that could support higher educational institutions in the purposeful programming of IKT. The supporting role of geographic and virtual mobility is emphasized as a possible instrument that assists IKT, both nationally and internationally.
