Subject matter and methods. The paper discusses an explosion in open-water conditions. The study relies on analytical materials, numerical solution of common differential equations and on the experimental data. Main results. The study describes calculation expressions for gas bubble pulse parameters available in literature. It also compares calculation results with the experimental data for TNT explosions. Conclusion. As compared to existing solutions and empirical expressions, the mathematical model suggested in this paper enables the assessment of pulse parameters for a wide range of explosion depths and charge weights. Calculation results obtained as per this model correlate with available test data. Abstract

Object and purpose of research. This paper discusses underwater explosion.
