Convinced of new opportunities offered by the global economy, Morocco has opted for a new industrial strategy based on Supply chain management practices aimed at improving the performance and making the country an attractive space for global value chains. The main aims of this paper are to evaluate the literature on the different definitions, approaches, trends and practices of the supply chain management, and presents results of a semi-directive qualitative study conducted in Morocco in order to obtain a deeper understanding of the supply chain management practices implemented in the Moroccan context.
