Abstract

: Let F ( x ) be any analytic function. Suppose that w is a ﬁxed point of F ( x ), that is, F ( w ) = w . Withers and Nadarajah [ Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics , 2021] gave solutions of the recurrence equation x n +1 = F ( x n ) for n = 0 , 1 , 2 , . . . . In this note, we give more general solutions of the form for any u n such that u n /u n +1 → 1 as n → ∞ .
