Abstract The article discusses three related but different concepts (autofiction, autosociobiography, and autoethnography) for the study of autobiography with regard to Franz Michael Felder’s Aus meinem Leben. The aim is to open new perspectives on this 19th century text while testing the concepts’ historical range of applicability.
